Recruitment agencies have featured heavily in the latest Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 league table for 2015, with nine making the list of the leading 250 firms.

Pertemps Network Group (PNG) was the highest-ranking agency at number 11, while Rullion Group (51), Independent Clinical Services (72), Best Connection (79), LA International (167), Resource Solutions Group (182), NRL (190), Search Consultancy (222) and Petroplan (242) also featured.

Rullion Group moved up from 76 in last year’s list and director James Saouli said the improvement was “impressive” and followed a successful year that saw the company “continue to win prestigious accounts” and record annual sales of £450m for the year.

The Top Track is an annual list published by the Sunday Times that ranks companies based on their sales. It found that three-quarters of the firms on the list improved their operating profit year-on-year, while 92% increased sales to a collective total of £69bn.

Other groups related to the recruitment industry that featured included Brookfield Rose, which comprises flexible working staffing firm de Poel, mobile job search app Zoek and social enterprise de Poel Community.

Brookfield Rose chief executive Matthew Sanders said in a statement: “We are on course to top £700m in sales in 2015 and grow our headcount to over 250 as we expand our suite of businesses under the Brookfield Rose banner by launching a further four businesses this year.”
